Art As Mentorship

Rebel Song Academy deconstructs the entire creative process through songwriting, instilling transferable skills and mental health principles to help young artists discover the vital mindset needed for success in the real world.

The curriculum is made up of 12 unique modules. Each module has a transferable real-world skill and mental health principle intertwined with the musical lesson. For example, week #3, “Ready, Set, Write!” is a lesson on design thinking, goal setting and anticipating challenges.

How I was helped:

Art as Mentorship is thankful to be supported by the DMR Foundation. Their industry expertise and insight has been as impactful as their financial contributions.

Donations by DMR to AM are used to fund The Rebel Song Academy, a youth songwriting program. Last year, over 400 young musicians were involved in RSA. Youth practiced self-expression and collaboration through music, synthesizing art therapy, leadership development, and creativity in the approachable context of popular music.

Supporting Artists

Grant Argent

Grant Argent is a Nashville based guitarist, bassist, and producer. He loves to

use his gifts for the kingdom of God whether it be touring the country playing

guitar for winners of the voice, or producing music for artists like Madison Ryann

Ward. You may know him from his work on Madison Ryann Ward’s “You Love Me

So” and “Green” which together have been streamed over 10 million times

across all platforms.

How I was helped:

DMR Foundation has funded a lot of the equipment and production software I

used to produce and write. They have also helped fund gear to help me tour!
